Infected Ears – What do we do to help?

When infection invades the ear canal skin it becomes inflamed, and this swelling leads to pain and blockage. At TOLBECS, we remove the infected debris gently and safely using micro-suction. Drops work faster to kill the infection when the ear canal is empty.

Most often we will take a sample of the infection. Your Doctor may decide to send this to the laboratory to identify the infecting organisms. Once the exact bacteria and/or fungi are identified your Doctor can prescribe you the best treatment.
